Fan-shaped composition depicting blooming irises (ayame) rising from shallow water. Several tall leaves and flower stalks emerge from a small mound at the water’s edge, with rippling water indicated below. The blossoms are rendered in blue tones against a softly graded background. The artist’s signature and an unread seal appear at right.
The only known is the publisher: Enshūya Matabei (遠州屋又兵衛) – "to" under roof, Marks 01-031 | 057a.
