Media: Woodblock-printed books (sumizuri-e); printed in monochrome grey tones only, with no use of pink or other colors, on cream-colored paper. Each volume is bound in fukurotoji style with brown thread and undecorated yellow covers. Title slips are printed in blue on cream paper with a double-fillet border, not of the falcon feather type:

  • Vol. I: 富嶽百景 初編 (Fugaku hyakkei, shohen), preface by Ryūtei Tanehiko [柳亭種彦] dated 1840 (Tenpō 11,  6th month)

  • Vol. II: 富嶽百景 二編 (Fugaku hyakkei, nihen)

  • Vol. III: 富嶽百景 三編 (Fugaku hyakkei, sanpen)

Covers and labels are original and appropriate to the Meiji-era edition. Each volume contains one leaf (two pages) of preface, followed by 25 leaves of illustrations. The publisher’s catalog is printed on the inside pastedowns.
