On page 121, the book describes plates 33 and 34, which feature double-sided fan prints from the series Fashionable Twelve Months (Imayō jūni-ka getsu, 今様十二ヶ月). Prints from this series are represented in the present collection under the numbers SVJP-0326.2020, SVJP-0362.2022, SVJP-0363.2022, SVJP-0364.2022, SVJP-0365.2022, and SVJP-0379.2022. The series was published by Ibaya Senzaburō [伊場屋仙三郎] (Japanese, active 1815–1869) in 1822 (Bunsei 5).

Toyokuni’s series Imayō jūni-ka getsu (Fashionable Twelve Months) is believed to have been produced around 1822 (Bunsei 5). Although it remains unclear whether the series was commissioned or issued for general sale, it consists of twelve fan prints, each depicting a bijin (beauty) in seasonal settings appropriate to each month. With twenty-four images printed on twelve double-sided fan sheets, the series displays careful compositional planning and a rich, consistent visual idiom.

The only other fan print here is #210 on p. 105 by Utagawa Kunimasa (歌川 国政, 1773 -1810) from the Honolulu Museum of Art:
