Blue and white porcelain plate, Japan, Edo period, 19th century.

Underglaze cobalt blue and white porcelain plate decorated with a bamboo border, key fret above the blue ring, and a bush of chrysanthemums in the centre. The bottom is decorated with stylized clouds and flowers, a border of lotus petals and signed with a general mark in the centre.

Diameter: 29.5 cm; Height: 3.5 cm.
