Barthélemy, Henri (French, 1884–1977)
Henri Barthélemy was a French printer, artistic director, and illustrator who managed the workshop of the Imprimerie R. Coulouma in Argenteuil during the 1920s and 1930s. In this role, he directed the layout design, typographic composition, and fine-press production for complex livres d'artiste portfolios featuring artwork by illustrators such as Umberto Brunelleschi (1879–1949) and Alexandre Alexeïeff (1901–1982). He also executed original wood engravings and book designs under his own name.
