Longman and Co. (London, publisher, 1805–1811)

The London publishing house, led by Thomas Norton Longman (1771–1842) and Owen Rees (1770–1837), was officially trading under the name Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme & Brown in 1821. However, for the distribution of regional and collaborative publications—such as the printed works of Thomas Bewick (1753–1828) from Newcastle—the firm utilized the simplified collective imprint "Longman and Co." on title pages for spatial economy and commercial convenience.
