Lovell Reeve & Co. [L. Reeve & Co.; Reeve Brothers] (London, publisher, fl. 1842–1980)
Established in London by conchologist Lovell Augustus Reeve (1814–1865), this specialized scientific press began trading in 1842 under the name Reeve Brothers. Following changes in partnerships, it was renamed Lovell Reeve & Co. The firm achieved international prominence for publishing beautifully illustrated, high-quality works on natural history, botany, and conchology. It frequently collaborated with top scientists of the Victorian era, including Sir Joseph Dalton Hooker (1817–1911), to produce definitive catalogues of global flora and fauna.
