Williams, Owen John (Welsh, 1850–1928)
A Welsh country squire, magistrate, and prominent huntsman who resided at the Cefn estate in St Asaph, Denbighshire. He was the son of John Williams (who later assumed the additional surname Wynn) and Anna Maria Williams-Wynn (c. 1813–1882). Through his mother's lineage, he was the nephew of the diarist Charlotte Henrietta Williams-Wynn (1815–1873) and a grand-nephew by marriage to Lady Henrietta Antonia Williams-Wynn (1786–1835). He served as a captain in the Montgomeryshire Yeomanry Cavalry and was a well-known figure in North Wales sporting and civic life.
