Williams-Wynn, Charlotte Henrietta [H. C. Williams Wynn] (Welsh, 1815–1873)
A Welsh aristocrat and author born at the family seat of Wynnstay, Denbighshire. She was the daughter of the British diplomat Sir Henry Watkin Williams-Wynn (1783–1856) and niece-by-marriage to Lady Henrietta Antonia Williams-Wynn (1786–1835). Renowned as a prolific letter writer, diarist, and intellectual, her extensive private correspondence with prominent European figures was posthumously published in 1877. She was the sister of Anna Maria Williams-Wynn (c. 1813–1882), making her the maternal aunt of the Welsh country squire Owen John Williams (1850–1928).
