Ref.: HathiTrust and OCLC identify the plates as 'by George Cruikshank' though none is signed. Authorship of Eugène-François Vidocq (French, 1775 – 1857) is doubtful too. The translator is not stated. -

The shoulders set with a pair of loop handles, the body moulded on both sides with a Phenix surrounded with meandering floral and foliate scrolls.
