Description: Full-length noblewoman in strict profile to left, enveloped in a long mantle and veil, fur muff at hands; townscape with small figures and a church procession in the distance.

Lieure description (EN): “This lady appears to be in mourning; she is in profile, turned to the right, her hands sunk into a fur muff. The background shows a small town. At left, a funeral whose cortege is proceeding towards a chapel. At the bottom left is engraved Callot. Plate size: H. 145 × L. 92 mm. Original etching. Single state.”

Plate 2 (L. 558; M. 676): Le gentilhomme enroulé dans son manteau bordé de fourrures (The Gentleman Wrapped in a Fur-Lined Mantle)
Dimensions: Platemark 143 × 94 mm, thin laid paper trimmed to platemark

Description: Elegant gentleman seen three-quarters from behind, turning toward the viewer; broad-brimmed hat with plume, cloak edged in fur; sword at his side; distant townscape with bridge.

Lieure description (EN): “Turned to the left, his face in three-quarter view, this gentleman wears low shoes ornamented with rosettes; streamers of ribbon hang to his knees. The background represents a small town in a picturesque landscape; at right is a bridge over a river. At the bottom right is engraved Callot. Plate size: H. 142 × L. 92 mm. Original etching. Single state.”
