Bust-length portrait of Frederik Hendrik, Prince of Orange and Nassau (1584–1647), in three-quarter view to the left, looking toward the viewer. He wears decorated armour, a lace collar, and a chain with a medallion depicting a knight on horseback. The portrait is enclosed within an engraved oval frame resting on a simulated architectural pedestal bearing an inscription. This engraving was produced after a painting by Anthonis van Dyck and served as an illustration in a printed volume.
